PYROTECHNICS

The PyroLux ™ range is compatible with the Le Maitre's Pyroflash ™ System sharing the same pin pitch and electrical specifications. For the first time in 25 years you'll have a choice from where you can purchase your consumables.

XLFX has a policy to only manufacture the very best products. We have invested heavily in new technology and tooling to produce our PyroLux ™ cartridge-based system together with a brand new circular design of Pyro Pod, formed from heavy gauge steel accepting all cartridges in our range. We also offer the Pro-Lux range for the mainly professional user where there may be a need to set up a shower / sequence etc. without using Pyro Pods. All PyroLux ™ cartridge based effects are available in the Pro-Lux range where the the contact / insertion pins on the underside of the cartridge have been replaced with black ignitor wires.

THEATRE FLASH

The traditional brilliant flash of light and mushroom of smoke. Available in three sizes.

THEATRE FLASH - LOUD REPORT

As above, but much louder 'report' when ignited.

SILVER BURST

As Theatre Flash but with the addition of bright white crackling stars.

STAR BURST

In Theatre Flash type cartridge. Gives a shower of brightly coloured stars.
Available in Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, White & Violet.

COLOURED FIRE

In Theatre Flash type cartridge. Produces a bright coloured flare and white smoke for approx. 7 seconds.
Available in Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, White & Violet.

COLOURED SMOKE

A thick plume of brightly coloured smoke available in durations of 7 seconds, 25-30 seconds reduced output and 25-30 seconds high output.

SILVER JETS

A fantastically visual effect. When ignited an instantaneous brilliant silver spray shoots into the air and disappears almost immediately. No fallout and very minimal smoke. Available in 16mm, 25mm and reduced height versions.

GERBS

These 'fountains' are manufactured specially for the professional entertainment sector using the finest chemical formulations and are designed to perform to highly accurate criteria, with low smoke emissions and low 'dross'. These gerbs are available in durations of 3 to 30 seconds, in gold, silver and gold to silver (colour change). They are available in two sizes - 16mm and 25mm (I.D.) This determines the output power. They are also available in 'tubes only' versions. Without a doubt these are the best performing gerbs on the market!

WHISTLES

These ignite and produce a high pitched 'scream' coupled with some smoke and a small orange flame. Duration is approximately 8 seconds. Two sizes are available - 16mm & 25mm (I.D.), the 25mm being much louder than the 16mm. Also available in 'tubes only versions.

GOLD FIREDUST

A gentle effect with hardly any noise producing a mushroom ball of thousands of gold sparks accompanied by a cloud of white smoke. Most effective in low lighting levels.

SMOKE (GUNPOWDER) PUFFS

Producing an ignition with very little noise, virtually no light and a pronounced mushroom of white smoke. Can be used when 'camera blinding' from Theatre Flash type effects needs to be prevented in studio environments. Available in small (30mm), medium (38mm) and large (77mm).

FLAME PROJECTORS (NON RE-LOADABLE)

This spectacularly vivid effect produces a flame that is reasonably cool, burns up totally in the air and is almost totally smokeless. Three sizes are available for differing effects.

Small (38mm) In a 250mm high plastic tube. Produces a spectacular effect for its size with a mushroom effect.
Large (77mm) In a 250mm card tube. Produces a larger effect with some burn after the mushroom effect.
Extra Large (100mm) In a 250mm high tube. Produces a longer burning flame with a more pronounced 'after burn' effect.

WATERFALLS

These waterfalls are designed to be used mainly indoors in large stage shows. They have been designed to burn more clearly with less 'dross' than outdoor 'firework' types. They are available in 16mm and 25mm. The larger of which contains particles than will burn for longer, thus they can be used at a greater height.
